Ryan Erskine is the Manager of VIP Client Services at BrandYourself and a leading expert in personal branding and online reputation management. He empowers individuals and businesses to develop their personal and corporate brands, take control of their search results, and position themselves as thought leaders in their industries. Erskine is the author of Online Reputation Management: The 28 Day Challenge and is also an active contributor to Forbes, Entrepreneur, Social Media Today, and Huffington Post, where he writes about digital branding and online reputation management.
Erskine has helped grow BrandYourself's VIP Department from an exciting idea into one of the company's fastest growing and most profitable departments -- and defined the Brand Strategist role along the way. He's earned clients placements on major web publications, cleaned up their search results, and completely rebranded online images for everyone from c-suite executives and U.S. politicians to middle market professionals and college graduates.
Aside from his role at BrandYourself and his own content marketing initiatives, Erskine also tackles a number of freelance projects. In 2014, he wrote gripping marketing copy for a new-to-market chickpea pasta company called Banza, where his writing was printed during its very first merchandising batch (30,000 pasta boxes.) Erskine developed and maintained the company’s voice across all forms of copy, and also led the charge on their regular blog postings about food, health, and nutrition. As part of this role, Ryan generated and selected his own ideas for content creation and transformed scientific jargon into fresh and engaging articles for the company’s target audience.
Ryan has composed marketing e-mails, designed events newsletters, and written website copy for a high-end concierge company in NYC. He has written press releases, social media content, and pitches to angel investors for a financial social media company called investFeed. He is comfortable writing SEO-friendly content for a wide variety of companies with a rapid assignment turnover thanks to his experience at BrandYourself and LocalVox.
Ryan also has two years of experience as a columnist and assistant web editor for The Bowdoin Orient, Bowdoin College's newspaper, where he wrote about contemporary music, upcoming events, and educational issues. His detail-driven work ethic and exceptional writing skills both helped to consistently propel his columns to the top of the “Most-Viewed Articles” list.
Over the course of his burgeoning career, Ryan Erskine has earned a reputation for his out-of-the-box creativity, unwavering dedication, and ability to consistently deliver exceptional results. He graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College in 2012 and was awarded the Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar Award for making Dean's List.
Ryan currently lives in the Upper East Side, NY and works in the Greater New York City area.
